Portable Filtration MS Range
CHALLENGES FACED
1. Frequent Hydraulic Wear & Downtime
Despite existing in-line filtration (3µ & 10µ duplex filters), the systems suffered high rotating group wear in pumps and motors, leading to costly replacements every 3–4 years.
2. Oil Cleanliness Out of Spec
Recommended ISO cleanliness level (15/12) was often exceeded, with readings as high as ISO 19/16. This resulted in valve sticking, pump cavitation, and oxidation sludge buildup.
3. Filter Overload & Bypass Issues
In-line filters were heavily loaded with contaminants and wash liquor residues, causing premature filter clogging, bypassing, and elevated maintenance costs.
4. High Water and Dust Ingress
Large hydraulic motors allowed dirt and wash liquor to leak past seals. Continuous recirculation introduced fine particulate and water, reducing system reliability.
KLEENOIL SOLUTION IMPLEMENTED
Product Used: Kleenoil MS4 + Magnetic Filter (Micromag MM10)
Installed as an offline “kidney loop” filtration system on hydraulic reservoirs. Operated for 6 hours continuous cleaning cycle per press. Used cellulose depth media cartridges for dual absorption (moisture) and adsorption (solid particles). Included Micromag magnetic pre-filtration to remove ferrous debris before depth filtration.
