INSTALLATION ON THE 300TDI DEFENDER

The system was installed using the standard DIY kit supplied by Kleenoil, designed for accessible fitting without specialist tools. Installation Overview Mounting the Housing The bypass filter head was attached to the timing case using existing bolt points, keeping the unit secure and accessible for cartridge changes. Oil Feed Supply was taken via the oil pressure switch using a threaded T-piece, allowing constant low-volume flow through the Kleenoil unit. Oil Return Instead of using the sump plug (to avoid off-road exposure), a return port was drilled and tapped into the rocker tray using a 1/8 BSP fitting. High-Density Cartridge A densely wound wood-pulp filter element enables: Sub-micron solid particle removal Full absorption of moisture and emulsified contaminants Kit Contents Included: Filter housing Mount the canister bracket

All fittings and hoses Mounting hardware Six spare cartridges (covering ~36,000 miles) Routing was completed with protective sleeving and secured away from heat sources and moving parts.
